Bluelight Lining
Choose a partner not a product.

With Bluelight, you can do it right, first time, every time.

Ideal for high production levels – when deadlines (and budgets) are tight.

When we say our Bluelight LED light curing CIPP lining system is paired to perfection, we mean it. With its equipment and parts sourced from just one place, you can be sure that everything has been engineered to work in unison – the first time and with minimal fuss.

Used widely in Germany, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Ireland and more, the revolutionary development launched here in the UK in 2019.

Your Go-to System for Laterals and Mains Lining up to 500mm.

Ensuring seamless operations for those who use it, Bluelight is your go-to system for laterals and mains lining, as well as smaller wastewater pipes. Utilising innovative technology, it features LEDs which operate in the wavelength of blue light (450 nm), while the liner-carrier is based on flexible felt complete with a durable PU coating or PAA-G glass liner.

The resin is based on a styrene-free and odour free vinyl-ester product and comprises a patented, photo-initiator, which is designed to react only to the wavelength of the light-heads’ 450nm LEDs. It all adds up to ensure a highly sophisticated piece of equipment that can make light work of your wastewater projects. Available in size range of 70mm – 300mm and standard thicknesses of 3mm, 3.5mm, 4.5mm and 6mm.

The PAA-G liners can be impregnated with either Styrene free Vinylester or Styrene containing Polyester resins, with the benefit of being an exceptional quality and having excellent strength characteristics. PAA-G liners are installed in the traditional way using a pull in place material and cured using Bluelights, small portable curing system. The reduced site footprint means that large vehicles are no longer required and minimal labour and equipment is required. Curing speeds of up to 1.65m/min (99m/hr) are achieved. Available in sizes from DN200 – DN500.

Bluelight is also working on a new glass liner which is designed for great strength and will also negotiate diameter changes. This will be available later in the year.

Supplying our ground-breaking systems the world over, Bluelight combines the benefits of felt-carriers with light cure, ensuring your small diameter wastewater pipe projects always run smoothly.

World-Renowned Technology

There really are a great many benefits to this renowned piece of technology, which in the past has predominantly used polyester and epoxy-resins cured with steam, hot water or ambient-cured methods.

Supplying our ground-breaking systems the world over, Bluelight combines the benefits of felt-carries with light cure, ensuring your small diameter wastewater pipe projects always run smoothly.

At a glance, here’s why you should choose Bluelight for your upcoming CIPP projects:

Utilising innovative LED equipment with liners from a single source, Bluelight lining helps you get it right, the first time – and every time

Putting safety at the forefront, it combines environmentally-friendly resin with odourless, low-emission technology. Choose our system and you can take advantage of between 90% and 99% CO2 savings, compared to heat-curing systems

Offering an impressive lifespan of half a century, Bluelight Lining is the result of 13 years’ development and site experience

Ensuring a high-quality result, the Bluelight process is technology-approved by the WRC (Water Research Centre) and the DIBt (German Civil Engineering Institute)

More than 90,000 installations using Bluelight LED light curing systems – and counting – have been completed in Europe. Installation time is minimal, too, with a smooth and stress-free set-up from start to finish

Tech doesn’t get more innovative than this.

Say hello to Bluelight’s revolutionary LEDs, which operate in the wavelength of blue light (450 nm), while its liner-carrier is based on flexible felt complete with a durable PU coating and also High strength glass liners impregnated with either the Styrene free Vinylester or Styrene containing Polyester.

Bluelight’s resin, meanwhile, is a styrene-free and odour free vinyl-ester product. Utilising a patented, photo-initiator, designed to react only to the wavelength of the light-heads’ LEDs, this sophisticated tech is used extensively in the drainage industry.

How is Bluelight manufactured?

It was no mean feat to bring an innovative system such as Bluelight to market – and now it’s available worldwide.

The liner carrier is made from flexible, synthetic fibre with PU coating or GRP carrier. Free from styrene and with resin based on vinyl ester, the cure combines LED technology in the wavelength of blue light (450 nm).

Offering curing speeds of up to 99m/hr (dependant on the type of liner, diameter, wall thickness and LED light head used), the Bluelight light curing system is produced according to the standard DIN EN ISO 9001.

What are the benefits of Bluelight for contractors?

As of August 2021, no UV LED light source has been approved by a GRP pipe liner manufacturer – unlike Bluelight, of course – for DIBT-compliant curing of UV-curing GRP pipe liners. The DIBT approvals do not cover UV LED curing, while speed tables for UV LED curing have not yet been released by any manufacturer, as far as we’re aware.

  • Liner installation is two to fives times more efficient
  • Possibility to check the liner before curing using the integrated camera on the LED head
  • Storage of up to 3 months for impregnated liners
  • Fully automated quality assurance and documentation of all relevant parameters
  • Instruction manual including definitions of all procedure steps
  • Low space requirement for the installation equipment with maximum equipment mobility
  • Fully software controlled system technology
  • Reduction of error potential compared with multi-component systems
  • Maximum flexibility thanks to a choice of impregnating on site or using pre impregnated materials
  • User support by a global player in trenchless renovation of drainage systems; remote maintenance and remote sessions are possible
  • Less waste (re-usable silicone calibration hoses) excess resins from impregnation can be re-used

Up to Five Times More Efficient Than Your Existing System

Choose Bluelight, and you’ll soon see why it’s up to five times more efficient than your existing system.

It’s also possible to check the liner before curing the system’s integrated camera, which can be found on the LED head and allows you to check the condition of the installed liner prior to curing. If an issue is detected, this can be corrected, and curing can commence. The system’s liners also offer optimum storage stability, with up to three months’ shelf life if stored correctly. Plus, all parameters provide fully automated quality assurance and documentation, for complete peace of mind.

You will also enjoy unrivalled quality support by a renowned global industry player – and the compact Bluelight system takes up minimal space.

Offering a marked reduction in errors compared to two and three component systems, ours comes with a thorough instruction manual, including definitions of each step of the installation process, along with thorough training, ongoing support, remote dial in feature and the benefit of a reliable, knowledgeable and highly experienced supplier.

Make the most of optimum flexibility as well, thanks to the option to install pre-impregnated materials (or impregnate on site).

Utilising reusable silicone supporting hoses, the system creates minimal waste, while excess resin from the impregnation process can be used again too.
