CIPP Lining

Project Background

Clancy’s were engaged by our delivery partner Anglian Water to enable and CCTV a failing sewer system on Mill Road due to concerns of an imminent collapse. After analysis of the internal survey report it was clear that the sewer has succumbed to severe deterioration due to hydrogen sulphide. Due to time constraints CIPP was the only cost-effective solution.

The Challenge

With the sewer on the brink of collapse time was of the essence to trenchless rehab before major excavations, road closures and major disruptions to the local residents would occur.

Our solution

The BlueLight system & PAA-F inversion liner was nominated to be used to rehabilitate x 3 lengths of 150mm CO (concrete) sewer. Internal measurements were taken to confirm pipe diameter and line lengths, after which a liner design was carried out between Clancy’s and their material supplier to ensure the liners could cope with structural and hydraulic tolerances.
Lane closures were set up for the works areas and tankers were used to isolate flow levels at the village pump station.
On completion of the site setup and exclusion zones the pre lining CCTV surveys were carried out along with lateral measurements.

The Result

All liners were installed & cured to specification, laterals re-opened, post CCTV surveys done and site strip down. The whole project was completed safely, minimal disruption, on time and in budget.
